Skagit Powder Coating Inc. takes pride in every job, large or small. Family owned and locally operated out of west Mount Vernon.

Andy Blankinship’s passion for powder coating has been a lifelong one. The spark was ignited when he found a small jar of powder on his uncle’s shelf when he was 13 years old. Since that time, Andy has always been fascinated with how this coating performs, efficiency, and the challenge of making his dream happen. At 14, with his father by his side, equipment design and fabrication began. He and his father embarked on a journey visiting powder coating facilities in nearby states when he was 15. Andy finished high school one year early by working full time and paying his own tuition for private school. In 2002, Skagit Powder Coating, Inc. opened its door with an 18” W x 24” H x 5’ L oven and a small booth. With sheer determination and love for the coatings industry Andy has evolved Skagit Powder Coating into a premier coatings and blasting service provider.
